Asphrical

 

          A lens having one or more surfaces that is / are not spherical.

          Aspheric surfaces are frequently, but not necessarily, surfaces of revolution about the lens axis .

          Aspheric lens which at least one surface is shaped to a surface of revolution about the lens axis,               including conic sections but excluding as sphere.

          Aspheric mirror used in reflecting optical systems, such as astronomical telescopes.
